MEET Kenny Cordova & The Olde Rock Band

Kenny Cordova (Lead Vocals) “I’M JUST A SINGER IN A ROCK AND ROLL BAND.” Kenny has been singing and entertaining for over fifty years. Kenny did his first public appearance at the age of four and participated in several talent shows and school programs throughout his educational years. He was the lead singer for the Fabulous Fury’s during his high school career. Kenny did a solo act while raising his son and daughter and has been the front man for the Olde Rock Band for over 18 years. The band has been voted the “Best Band” and Kenny has been the only vocalist to have been voted in the “Best Musician” category and received many other accolades from the Fort Collins Coloradoan’s “Best of Fort Collins.” Kenny says, “When I’m on stage, I live my dream, and I can’t wait to entertain you -- Rock on!!”

Tim Hughes (Keyboards and Vocals) Tim's first "paying gig" was at the age of fifteen playing the keyboards and singing with a local New Wave band (remember New Wave?) on the back of a flatbed trailer in front of a crowd of 400. "They were the loudest, wildest group I had ever seen before." The next six years Tim spent performing live with bands ranging from Country to Top 40 to Heavy Metal. After joining the United States Air Force, Tim's focus turned from performing to writing. In 1990 and 1992, Tim placed in the top 10% in the Billboard National Songwriting contest. Tim continues to write while playing with Kenny and the band.

Bruce Bertea (Lead Guitar, Vocals, Sound) Bruce spent nine years touring with various Rock and Roll bands and warming up for national artists including Foghat, Tower of Power, Blackfoot, Doctor Hook, and Geroge Thurogood. Since 1997 Bruce has rocked fans by bringing modern high-energy guitar styling to some of the greatest classic rock and roll songs of all time. Bruce also owns and operates Paradox Record Company, an audio recording studio in Fort Collins, CO, where he and Kenny produced their last two albums (see Sounds page for Paradox Record Company's contact information).

Dean Romarine (Drums, Vocals) Dean has been playing drums since the age of two and has been playing professionally since age 16. Covering many styles, many genres, cover bands of every type, and traveled many states. Dean has had the opportunity to play with some of the world's top bands, including one of Fort Collins' favorites, The Atoll, then through the 90's, opening for bands from Poison, David Lee Roth. Dean also played the country scene with artists such as John Michael Montgomery, and Reba McIntyre, and pop artists Alanis Morissette all the way to arenas with KISS. Dean has since planted his feet and was blessed yet again with a wonderful wife and family. Playing the drums has been and always will be my passion and I love doing it. I look forward to playing with Kenny and the band, for many years to come. See you on the dance floor!

Scott Surine (Bass) Scott has been playing bass for over 35 years. At SUNY Binghamton, he studied music theory and composition. Since the early '70s, he has played a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from Country to Rock, from Top 40 to Blues, from R&B to Reggae, from Soca to Soukous, continually searching for a unique voice on bass that is both supportive and expressive. In the late '70s, Scott toured the Midwest with a Country band, honing his skills in the practice of "Less is More." In the mid ‘80s, Scott performed with The Coasters, Little Anthony, Fabian, and the Marvelettes in a band that backed these ‘60s legends. Scott has used his experiences and knowledge in music and design to create his own product line of ergonomic basses, and created Surine Basses. Visit Scott’s website at:
